RTC in Clehonger

Six people have been taken to hospital following a road traffic collision in Hereford today.

 

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the incident on Gosmore Road in Clehonger shortly after 10.15am this morning.

 

Three ambulances, an ambulance officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham were dispatched to the scene.

 

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “On arrival at the scene crews found a car and a mini bus that had been in collision.

 

“The driver of the mini bus was found to be outside of the vehicle. The man, believed to be in his 60’s, was treated on scene for head and leg injuries. The casualty was fully immobilised using a neck collar and spinal board before being airlifted to Bristol Frenchay Hospital for further assessment and treatment.

 

“The three passengers of the mini bus, all women, were treated on scene for minor injuries. One of the casualties who had suffered neck and back injuries was immobilised as a pre-caution before all three patients were conveyed to Hereford County Hospital.

 

“The occupants of the car, a man and a woman believed to be in their 70’s, were treated for minor injuries at the scene and conveyed to Hereford County Hospital for further assessment and treatment.”
